Learn the art of Japanese Kitchen Knife Skills and Garnish creation with Yoshi Nakano. Two classes are available on Monday, March 30th:
Morning class: 9:00am-12:00pm
Afternoon class: 2:00pm-5:00pm.
Basic Kata (form and stance) and hands-on knife skills for whole body safety. Students will work with all kinds of vegetables (soft to hard) with garnishes to help refine dinner plates.
Requirement: Students must bring their own Santoku and fruit knives, and a cutting board.
About the Instructor Yoshi Nakano
Yoshi is a second generation Japanese cook and Body worker with eleven years of restaurant, hotel and catering experience in Japan and the United States. He is also an abstract Brush calligrapher, Shiatsu and Eastern preventive health care educator since 1989.
Many of his teachings reunite the healing arts of Tao/Zen and Ayurvedic tradition. Yoshi is currently studying and practicing Zen temple style home cooking from Kyoto, Japan.
Class fee is $48.00 per person.
