Carlos Nakai brings a wealth of solo artistry as well as collaborations with world-renowned artists such as Martha Graham and Philip Glass to the stage, along with many national and international tours fronting his various world music ensembles and numerous appearances as a principal soloist with symphony orchestras around the globe. Will Clipman has contributed his pan-global percussion and drumming to over sixty albums in nearly every musical genre imaginable, and has performed and recorded with Nakai for a quarter-century as an original member of the R. Carlos Nakai Quartet and the Nakai, Eaton & Clipman Trio. Awakening the Fire brings these two master musicians together in an intimate dialogue between the world’s two most ancient instruments, taking audiences on a primal sonic odyssey into the deepest realms of the human experience.
