Primitive Dance Company Showcase

Formerly known as United Prospects, who won 2nd place in the Team Division at the 2018 World Of Dance competition in Arizona, Primitive Dance Company is holding this showcase of their progressing talent as a fundraiser to help them continue forward in their mission to continue to grow and expand as a vibrant creative and educational outlet for Tucson's youth.

Director Cristian David Barajas started Primitive Dance Company to provide an environment for youth to have a platform to advocate for the importance of the arts as a positive creative focus for their lives and their community.  Primitive Dance Company hopes to inspire more culture and support of the arts in the city of Tucson, giving teens and young adults a healthy form of artistic personal expression to channel their energy in productive, positive, life-affirming artistic endeavors. 

Barajas is creating more than just a dance company.  Primitive Dance Company is God-centered, promotes moral values, and participants feel a sense of family and belonging.  Many call the squad their "second family" says Barajas.  The vision of Primitive Dance Company is big and this fundraiser will help towards building that vision which includes acquiring a studio to provide a variety of arts besides dance; providing mentorships and assistance to members who need help with school or education; travel, registration fees, and uniforms for participation in upcoming World Of Dance events around the country, and more.
