Casa Flamenca's "Tablao Season 2024" comes back to Tucson, AZ! Don’t miss an exhilarating evening of flamenco dance and music featuring: master guitarist Juani de la Isla, and dancer Carmen Ledesma as well as other world-class artists from Spain.
A Tablao (colloquial term for the Spanish “tablado”, or floorboard) is a place where flamenco shows are performed. In addition, the word tablao is a term also used to describe the platform floor in which a flamenco show is performed. Tablao venues were developed during the 1960s throughout Spain replacing the cafés cantantes, or cabarets of the 19th and early 20th century. More intimate than theatrical flamenco productions, tablao shows are considered the places where the most authentic flamenco performances can be experienced. Casa Flamenca’s intimate performance space recreates the authentic atmosphere of a Spanish Tablao.
Part of our venue's effort to bring quality, fun, and affordable events, concerts, and bands to 4th avenue in downtown Tucson, AZ.
